About Gelataria Bongusto
Our story
Gelataria Bongusto is a family-owned business founded by Hansi and Brigitte, a couple who have been married for over 40 years and share a deep passion for making gelato. Alongside their children and friends from ETH Zurich, they personally craft each batch of gelato with love in St. Gallen.
Oliver, an ML Engineer from ETH Zurich, joined as a good friend of Hansi's to support in administration and expansion with the help of ETH Zurich.
Our home base is in Saentispark, St. Gallen, but you can also find our gelato stands throughout the summer in picturesque locations such as Rorschach at Lake Constance, ETH Zurich's Polyterasse, and Glattpark.
We prioritize using organic, locally sourced, and fresh ingredients. Sustainability is at the core of our operations, with efforts to recycle and use recycled products. Our cups and spoons are even edible!
We are grateful to the ETH Zurich community for their support and strive to give back whenever possible.
